Week 7 F2F topic was "Device" so Vicky was talking to us on google meet about Being Cybersmart and this is the language that has being used in 2011. Cybersmart is the roof of Manaiakalani's house and the roof needs to be well equipped in order to be safe for the users. These statements are the reminders for us teachers and students as to be Cybersmart: Be Internet Smart! Be internet Alert! Be Internet Strong! Be Internet Kind! Be Internet Brave and Be Internet Awesome. The students need to learn cybersmart language. Being Cybersmart empowers learners to be confident, connected and life long learners. I have learnt about the importance of students learning to be visible and ubiquitous. Dorothy, Jeremy and Fiona have demonstrated how to use the chrome book and ipad with our learners. The three of us worked collaboratively to create the task Explain Everything using the ipad. I also created a task for my class using Tongan and English for Cybersmart using Explain Everything App. Thank you Manaiakalani team for providing the F2F programme to give me more opportunities to learn how to teach our students digitally. I have learnt a lot and taking it to my classroom and for me personally to use. Mālō 'aupito.

Talofa Susana,
ReplyDeleteNice to the photo of the three of you in Explain Everything. I'm so glad you are being equipped to be digitally fluent and to share what you are learning with your students.
I look forward to seeing what happens in your class site.
Kind regards,
Maria
